Straight to DVD, without
the PC:
- Starting at less than $200.00 to more than $500.00, a TV-based DVD player/recorder
(stand alone) units, they cost more
than regular DVD players because they can record TV programming on to
blank DVD's. It can also be used to back up old tapes. Analog audio and video
input & output jacks are on the rear of unit, so you can connect a camcorder or VCR
to convert tapes to DVD. Digital format such as MiniDV require a Firewire
connection. (Note: This is a straight "dub" of
your tape, editing is limited).
